What made you go with 1Huddle? 

Emily Young: It was actually recommended to me from George at Sixty Vines.

He had nothing but great things to say about you guys. He said it was one of the best platforms he’s used in terms of learning and gaming. And so he actually was the one who helped me find you. 

I love the overall experience of competition between my bartenders. They’ve never had something like this before.

They’ve never had an app to actually get on and challenge themselves and also play against their team. So it’s been really rewarding on both ends. We also believe around here that knowledge is power, and we really invest 1Huddle into pushing knowledge out to our bartenders. So that’s something that we use 1Huddle for.

How would you describe 1Huddle? 

EY: If you wanna challenge your team and you want to get them involved and active, use 1Huddle. Use 1Huddle for anything gaming, launches, new menu launches, anything to get your team up to date. Even with communication, 1Huddle is perfect for that. 

I’ve heard conversations behind the bar of  like, ‘Oh, I got more points than you’. And they were really excited cause they’re actually trying to like beat each other, which is so fun. And because like I said, the whole purpose about this is for them to learn. And we just actually did a new menu launch that we’re getting ready to launch that game.

And it’s just for them to, you know, they can access 1Huddle if they forgot, like recipes or they can access 1Huddle just to kind of keep them up to date about our menu. And they’ve loved it and they love the competition about it. And they want more. 

There’s been a lot of crazy stuff happening in the greater restaurant space, especially pre and post Covid. What kind of changes and things have you’ve been  experiencing?

EY: I think since Covid, I think one thing that we’ve experienced with our team is a lack of purpose in the restaurant industry and how they’ve been treated over the past few years, and especially like since Covid. They just haven’t had a sense of urgency to be at work and they didn’t have a sense of purpose here at Legacy or Assembly.

And so bringing a platform like 1Huddle, and giving them this motivation of like, hey, you know, we’re gonna invest in you and we wanna bring this knowledge to you and keep you up to date with communication that might be lacking and keep you up to date with new menu launches and product launches.

And explain our policies and procedures. And I think it’s just giving them a sense of wanting and a sense of, okay, that my company will invest in me and this is something that they want to do. And so that’s what we did. 

Anything you want close out with?

EY: I guess it’s just been, 1Huddle’s been amazing and I’m so happy that I found them. Thanks to George at Sixty Vines. It’s been so great and this is the first learning platform app that we’ve ever had at this company. And so something to drive our program and especially our bar program has been so great.

And it’s just a learning platform that we’re also learning ourselves. We’re actually passing it on to our team members, so it’s been so good.
