1Huddle Wins Beacon of Hope Award

Jim White: If you get the right partner, it can really make a difference. And, 1Huddle has really been a phenomenal partner in helping us care for our young people. They sleep out, they come and volunteer, they’re highly committed to our work, and they’re true partners in our efforts.

Sam Caucci: We’re an early stage technology company. We turn anything an employee needs to know, into a game, on their phone.

Jahmila Williams: It’s like a trivia app on your phone, but you’re learning while you’re doing it. There’s so much that a young person needs to learn and we are another tool to help them learn.

SC: A young person can come into the Dove Learning Center, download 1Huddle and play it to prepare either for the job they have right now or for an interview that’s coming up, or maybe because they want to learn a new skill and challenge themselves at something that they’ve always wanted to.

Kyllian Coraggio: When our youth get to use the 1Huddle platform, I think they feel elevated. They feel like they have the access to learn, they otherwise would not have this access if it weren’t for 1Huddle.

SC: I’ve slept out for four years.

Brianna Hernandez: I’ve been involved with a couple sleep outs and it is the most humbling experience.

Jahmila: It was rainy. It was cold. It even ended up snowing. So to imagine a young person out there who then has to go to school or go to a job, it makes me want to sleep out every night, so no kid has to.

SC: What blows me away about the young people at the Covenant House, their energy, their enthusiasm, their willingness to try things, their vulnerability.

Jahmila: As a mission-based organization, we really believe in helping people, and every single person on this team feels that.

SC: We focus on our community first. And for that reason that we take the partnership and the relationship and the opportunity we have with the Covenant House so seriously.

BH: It’s really great just to see our team come together as one and really take away something super important. I think that just makes us better people and better employees overall.

JW: I want to congratulate 1Huddle and Sam for their commitment to our work and receiving the Beacon of Hope Award, it’s well deserved.
